On November 3, the Vanier Museopark was delighted to welcome Anyssa Doiron to its team as Operations Manager. With extensive experience in museum management and heritage promotion, Anyssa has notably led the Auberge Symmes museum in Gatineau in recent years.
“I am thrilled to join the team. As an Acadian, I look forward to discovering Ottawa’s Franco-Ontarian community and putting my experience and ideas to work for Muséoparc. I hope to meet you all soon!”
A graduate in history from the University of Ottawa and holder of a certificate in museology and heritage from the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO), she brings rigor, creativity, and passion for culture to everything she undertakes.
Her arrival marks an exciting milestone in the development of the Vanier Museopark, and we are thrilled to have her on board to contribute to the smooth running of the museum, the sugar shack, and our many activities!
In three words, how would you describe yourself?
- Creative:I love developing new concepts and seeing ideas come to life.
- Determined:I enjoy taking on challenges. When faced with a challenge, I roll up my sleeves!
- Optimistic:I like to see the bright side of things, the glass is always half full for me.
Freshly arrived from France, Andy Saffaf joined the Museopark’s team on October 15 as a Communications and Marketing Intern. Andy holds a master’s degree in law and economics, has five years of experience as a host, and has served as president of an association. He brings a diverse background that he will apply to his work at the Vanier Museopark.
Passionate about music and deeply involved in cultural associations, the team affectionately calls him their “TransAtlantic Swiss Army knife” thanks to his varied experiences. Eager to explore Canadian culture and contribute his skills and passion to our institution, Andy didn’t hesitate to cross the Atlantic to join the Museopark.
“It’s an honor to join the team and discover Canada, a fantastic country in my eyes! I look forward to sharing experiences with you and supporting the vibrant Franco-Ontarian community.”
His goal: To explore the richness of Franco-Ontarian culture, support our communication and programming efforts, contribute to our many events, and, of course, add his French flair to our daily life! He is seeking new encounters and opportunities for the future, wishing to expand his skills and discover new experiences in the public or cultural sectors, among others, but remains open to all Canadian adventures.
Full of enthusiasm, Andy has already immersed himself in our projects with energy and curiosity. We look forward to seeing all that he will bring to the Vanier Museopark during his journey with us.
In three words, how would you describe yourself?
- Determined:Life’s challenges have always helped me grow. We are constantly evolving beings, and determination lifts us, pushing us ever higher.
- Radiant:People often tell me I am radiant—always smiling, shining, bringing warmth to those around me. My stage name was inspired by this, shaped by all the people I have met.
- Altruistic:Thinking of others, working in a team, and helping brings me joy. Giving and sharing are deeply part of who I am.
Join us in warmly welcoming Anyssa and Andy to the team!
