The Museopark’s permanent exhibition illustrates the history of francophonie in the National Capital Region and more particularly the history of Vanier, a historically French-speaking district of the City of Ottawa.
Discover all of the stages of transformation, from the village of Janeville to the Vanier district which we know today, its remarkable families and individuals, its businesses, its associations. Learn the history of the missionary White Father of Africa, which gave their name to the street in which our museum is located and who built the sugar shack that the Museopark operates today. Vanier on the Outaouais also traces back relations with the First Nations during the time of pioneers up until our modern times.
