This hands-on program at the Vanier Museopark invites your students to explore the amazing role these tiny heroes of nature play in our environment.

The Richelieu Forest is much more than just a green space — it’s a living laboratory in the heart of Vanier. Our forest is unique: it is home to the only operational urban sugar shack in Canada, and holds an incredible wealth of ecological, historical, and social value.
This interdisciplinary program invites students to explore the forest through multiple lenses:
Through critical discussions and hands-on activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of the ways our environment and our society are profoundly connected.
