This morning, we had the privilege of surprising Madeleine Meilleur on her last day at the Vanier Museopark. To celebrate her remarkable career and retirement, Ottawa Mayor Mark Sutcliffe proclaimed August 22 as \u201cMadeleine Meilleur Day\u201d in the capital. The Rideau-Vanier councillor, St\u00e9phanie Plante, was also present to pay tribute and recognize Madeleine\u2019s dedication as both a politician and an active citizen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wishing you a truly well-deserved retirement, dear Madeleine. Thank you for everything you have accomplished \u2014 not only for the Museopark, but also for Vanier, your beloved neighbourhood, as well as through your many years of political involvement at the municipal and provincial levels. Your contributions have left a lasting mark on our community, and we are deeply grateful.<\/span><\/p>\n

We look forward to seeing you again at the museum, at the Sugar Shack, or during our many events throughout the year. Our doors will always be wide open to welcome you back.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
